i prefer to pronounce it "porsh", when your car looks like mine you just sound pretentious saying it "porsh-a". _________________ "Kraut cars, they know how to build 'em".

| Wikipedia says in inglish it's porsch but in Germany it's porsche (porscha) because there is no silent e in the German language |

It actually says "is often pronounced as a single syllable" - doesn't mean it's right...

When I eventually repaint the body, and its nice and shiny, I'll call it "Porsha", until such time it's a "Porsh". _________________ -David

Remember when Patrick Stewart was doing Porsche commercials?
Like that.
Not Porsch-UH, or Porsch-AH. Deemphasized, but present.

Yup. I think the last one I remember was when the Panamera first came out. Lots of Cayenne commercials too when it was the new thing a few years back. _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!

I cannot recall ever seeing a Porsche TV commercial in the UK.
They do advertise in the more highbrow glossy magazines though. _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)
