|
Ok,
So my rear lighted "Porsche" reflector was warped. I say was beacause I took it off thinking I could flatten it out some. Well needless to say I broke it right down the center. I have mounted the lights back, and plan on getting some epoxy to put the reflector back onto it for a temporay fix. Will still see the crack right down the middle of the porsche name.
Does anybody know where a replacment can be ordered. I sound one on ebay, but its not the same as mine (came off of a 1980 924). Any thoughts would be appericated.

Don't know about replacement, but about the fixing... I'm willing to guess that the cracked lens is made of the same stuff that most other plastic automobile light lenses are made of, and that's the same stuff that plastic models are made of (it's called "polystyrene" if I'm recalling correctly) - so use plastic model cement (if you're old enough to buy it) rather than epoxy. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. | next time you go trying to bend or straighten old plastic of any kind try dunking it in a pan of very hot water (just under a boil) for 10 min or so. Keep an eye on it as different plastics have different heat resistance. |

Yeah, i managed to find one on ebay. Its not a direct replacement, but it is in good condition. All I should have to do is remove the mounting points and epoxy it to my light system. _________________ White 1987 924s, Automatic |
