Hello everybody,
I own a 924 turbo series 1 converted to 924 Carrera look, with a personilised front valance and 17 inch OZ wheels. This car has been standing aside for 15 years, so i due for a total mechanical overhaul... But now I bought a donor 924 turbo with...a genuine 937 (Carrera GT) engine and interior!!
Since july 1st I started a company specialised in maintenance of Porsche.
So my own car is a nice project to start, to show what my company is capable of.
I am a real Porsche technician, I mean that for me every Porsche is a Porsche, from the 924 untill the recent Panamera...
Most of my clients drive the 911. But I always try to show them that a 924 is in its way a treu Porsche. As it is, one of them has bought a second Porsche, a 924!, next to his 911 Carrera.
So watch this topic in the future, I start the rebuilding of the engine in December.

Hello, good to hear that we have a shop to go to if we want quality work done to our cars!
i might be interested in your services in the future. I hope the prices are not 911-ish.
Can you post some prices for common jobs like: engine rebuild/replace, transmision rebuild/replace...CIS tuning...wheel angles adjustment...etc..whatever you do in your shop.
thanks. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Can you post pics of the engine and interior, then share the backstory about how this drive train ended up in a "normal" turbo?
As the CGTs are rare and therefore closely tracked throughout their lives, I think it would be very interesting to hear what happened to this one and how the drive train came to be available for donation into another car. |

I don't have any back history of the engine or the car. The car itself is an amazing ugly 924 transformed to an ugly kind of Testarossa like car...
Bad cosmetics, but when I found the car and saw the interior I was interested... Then when I opened the hood I was more intersted...
The intercooler was there, but also the hood is a genuine Carrera GT.
I will post the pictures in the nearby future. _________________ '79 931 with Carrera GT look

Anyone got pics of 937 DITC unit inside? One guy thinks he could make a copy of it if he got one to take a look. _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild
