OH MY GOD !!!....that sound....oh my god...its like...nothing ever heard...piss V8s, v12s, jap-mobiles, any V6...any other engine sounds just like crap compared to the 993.
the power...YES!...it is fast and powerfull...tho the 924 Turbo might have a bigger torque boom at @4K RPM..but this pulls hard from the stard and pulls harder and harder till redline.
the outside looks....well it is sublime...the 993 is a beautyfull car...especialy with that wide ass...
the interior...well its crowded and tight...and not exactly very preety..and the interior design looks old-style compared to the 924...but once you get in and take it for a drive you start to realise that its just perfect the way it is.
The ride...the car feels like a go-kart...the front end jumps around on not-so-flat roads...but it grips and it goes like crazy.
in conclusion....man o' man i want one...its just that engine sound...and those looks... _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Since getting the 951 I'm lusting after a 930. I really want the oldest old school Porsche Turbo. I like the light switch boost nature of the 951. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, TURBO!!! Apparently it is even worse in the 930, that could be entertaining. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

The 993s are nice cars, but they can't keep up with my 325 hp Boxster. I just love the look on on any 911 NA owner's face when I out accelerate them with what they believe is a 2.5 liter 201 hp Boxster.
I'm getting the itch to build a 3.8 Boxster, or maybe a Jake Raby 4.0 Boxster...... _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

this guy is doing a audi V8 in a boxter.
motorgeek boxter V8
he just got started, but the audi V8 is 300 hp stock and you can twin turbo for 450hp with almost no internal engine upgrades
this is a LS1 V8 mock up
but keeping it all porsche is cooler still _________________ "Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves. "

oh, shut up !
the 924 T still has that 4K torque boom that the 993 NA does not.
and the interior of the 924 is way nicer...and you have way more space.
but the sound of that thing....O.M.G. !! _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

have been driving this thing for a few days now...the sound is incredible and addictive.
i've floored it in a close quarters area...OMG it raged like a mad...something...i am speachless.
I'm quite sure that my 924 has a bigger torque peak...but still..this is a NA..that shouts beautyfully and pulls right from the low end RPM until topend.
The car drives like a very heavy and solid object..but its rigid and somehow you can feel that its stable...to one point
It is quite bouncy on the front...and i'm sure it understeers alot if you're not carefull...or..say...lift the pedal in a corner.
the whole interior is just..badly designed and aranged.
-the heater/AC controls are hidden away..you cant see them because of the steering wheel.
-the stereo is too far away(not that i listen to it..but sometimes probably the owner's girlfriend leaves it on and i have to turn it off so i can enjoy the engine)
-the door openers are silly placed
-there is not much leg-room...for driving around the city its ok..but i think on longer trips its quite bad.
-the windscreen is indeed a bit too close...you dont look trough it...you wear it (Clarkson quote)
however i could close an eye for all these things just for that noise and throttle responce...i wonder if it would be possible to put one of these engines in the 924...hmmm _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

He he - you should have had a ride in my old 911... Tuned engine, headers, noisy exhaust - and not much in the way of silencing in a 1010 kg lightened shell
Stereo - don't make me laugh The 911 is a roller-coaster! Silly grin, manical laughs - sweaty palms - and quick hartbeat - it must be love!
But my son's 924 looks much better, has creature comforts, real wipers!, heat!, and ventilation... A much more modern, grown up car, with a stereo and real luggage space. It even has a galvanized body! WOW! |

Yes, that would be the ultimate combo! In such a light car the 924 would fly down the road! |
