Oh it's not a daily driver, don't worry.
The last straw was realizing that at least one of the balance shaft seals was leaking and then getting pessimistic about the rod bearings.
I think I'll end up parting it out to some extent before letting either the junkyard or a fellow Porsche enthusiast tow it away.
My financial situation has significantly worsened since I bought the car so that is also a big factor. It will be a LOOOONG time before I own another Porsche. |

Sorry you gave up so soon....it's got to be a labor of love with these cars. I got lucky and bought 924S #2 in pretty good condition.
The #1 car was sold to friend and he is no longer a friend... he got very frustrated with all the problems that a poorly maintained 100k+ miles 2.5L engine can throw at ya'...
There are some pretty cheap 944s out there with decent engines... just need to look around a little. _________________ 1987 Porsche 924S - track toy
