What did you use to cut in the corners thinking a 3" or 4" round
cutting wheel. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

I used a 2 inch zip wheel to cut around the corners of the headlight covers. Also you just slowly grind at the surface, rather then penetrating the wheel into the metal.
The car is almost ready for the road....Just have to figure out 2 wiring issues and I can go for antique inspection. Highbeam relay only works sometimes .....wipers keep blowing the fuse. _________________ 1976 924

Did you make a post on the making of the 6mm plexi material covers. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

The way I did the plexi covers was clamped the over sized plexi onto the steel headlight covers as tight as I could. Then heated it over my wood stove in my shop. As the plexi would heat I would tighten down the claps a bit more until it was uniform with the steel cover. Then cool it and remove the clamps. Trace the headlight covers shape onto the plexi and trim.
You need a lot of clamps and for best results put a piece of wood to make a bigger clamping surface otherwise you will get visible pressure points into the plexi surface. _________________ 1976 924

This post deserves a Cheers. A Hammerhead Lemon smoothie
with vanila or cocoanut in the sunshine.
You molded the headlight backs after you cut the box. Ace work
big boy. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na
