Like that play on words? LOL

Guy up in Coquitlam had some fuel relays kicking around from a 1977 porsche 924, figured since that's what I have, I'd be good to go so I picked them up.

Upon closer inspection when I got home I realized they weren't the same kettle of fish I had at home. They're strangely different.

It says:

KRACKER AG

Audi - Kraftstoff
Pumpenrelais
12V
24.1000.10
"Made In Germany"

A sticker on the side says:

433-906-059
H0003 02EG2 18
433-907-385 D
SAM

They have 5 pins on the bottom.
4 fat ones and one smaller one.

Will this work for the fuel relay? for my early 77 NA
and does it have the saftey kill for the mass air or
distributor thingy?

Dan

See,

here's where it gets confusing... a relay with the same part # claims to work 76-79 on Pelican..

Yes Rich,

When I get off work i'm gonna just stick it in and try. I know based on schematics there's no way it can hurt anything.

I'm not stupid either...

I know that the 1976-1979 had Air Mass Flow Metered Switch.
I know that 1979-1981? it was spark rotor switched...

But I dunno what happens if you use a later relay in an earlier car.

I mean one friend I know said a standard 4pin bosch would work but
I figured when I saw this deal come up, that would be more ideal...

Ah well.

Don't think they worked...

The old relay (when I first got the car) would turn on the pump whenever I turned the key...

At least I can't hear the fuel pump kicking in at all anyway.

Thoughts? Am I testing them wrong or are they simply not working?
