Maybe he thought that it would keep the glass from imploding if there was nuclear fallout?

Some gerbils can be pretty frigging huge. The only way to transport them sometimes is a Porsche. Someone had to make a net to hold them. It makes sense.

Portable noodle maker.

open windows and the rear hatch slightly and the suction created pulls the dough through the mesh. Great to add to soups.

Ah! A build in disguise on board radar to spot Gremlins around the corner and avoid them was optional in the far east. Please check if the Blaupunkt-monomonitor (black-green, or optional the black-orange) is stil there under the centercap in the dash, or it won't be of any use to you and you might as wel take the Metall mesh out.
Often PO's took out the Radar monitor because Gremlins were fond of the CRT(cathode ray tube) it contained, and ate bits of fuse panel as desert. To stop attracting Gremlins some 968 users came up with the idea of replacing the CRT by a green lightbulb that would indicate they should get the hell out (at least 11 km) of where ever they were when it would start blinkin'. A steady green light would indicate you have to ditch the car in the western Pacific Ocean for at least three years. Or rent, buy, build a private swimming pool, with salt water. …I'm glad the 924s haven't the option code BS.
Very rare; Got pix??

…so you didn't go for the 944 cabrio I guess?
Harm.

ps. Euro-gremlins are untouchable by radar

It was probably a solid sheet of metal used to block out the back window... it was turned into mesh by Super termites who feast on random bits of metal causing random holes or that annoying space that seems to show up when your trying to patch a fender or the rear quarter window.
