I suggest that before you blow your money on seats and fixing the ac, that you get the critical maintenance done first.

The FOES (front of engine service) is critical to the health of the engine, and expensive. In fact it's so expensive that most people who buy used 924S and 944s find that the FOES is way overdue on the new toy, and become very disappointed when they find out about the cost.

BUT, if you don't get written proof that the service has been done (with all of items he taken care of), there is a chance that the timing belt or balance shaft belt will break, causing a repair bill that will cost more than you just paid for the car.

The tools to do the FOES will cost $500-$1000. The parts will cost $500-$1000, and the labor to install the parts will cost $500-$1000.

So, hold off on the new seats, and the ac service (unless you are going to fix the ac youself). You have more important and pressing problems to solve first.

the timing belt, and new head was done about 2,000 miles ago, I need to get new motor mounts as the vibration is getting pretty bad. I need new interior as my back is killing me when i drive this car due to worn down seat back and pads.

Do you have written proof that the head was repaired or replaced, along with the timing belt, and the waterpump?

Or did you have the work done yourself?

If not, you need to have the FOES done immediately so you will know when it was done, and when it will be due again.

At least have someone check to make sure the retensioning was done. The belts need to be retensioned a few thousand miles after being installed since they stretch enough to make them too loose.
