I have a 77 champion.
I have new rubber for my quarter windows and also getting the car stripped down for painting in a couple of weeks.
I would like to ask for advise on the proper way to R & R the rear quarter window glass and rubber.
And of course at that time I will repalce my speakers any advice on addtional items I need to do regarding the panel removal once the window is out.
Thank you,

There is a thin metal strip in the quarter window rubber. On some cars it is chrome, but on most I've seen it is flat black, and so difficult to distinguish from the rubber. The metal strip actually serves the function of keeping some tension on the rubber seal, so removing it makes it easier to remove the quarter windows without having to use as much force to push out. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
