Ok, so i've tested everything. Cleaned everything up, made sure all my connections were good, nothing was loose, everything is good to go, my Crank shaft sensor is on tight.. Still no spark, a friend thought he heard clicking coming from my ignition coil, so i changed that and tried it again, nothin, but i still hear the ticking, i put my ear close and im pretty sure its coming from the distrub cap.. so I pop it off and right there my rotating head or whatever it is (the rotar, you know that sends the spark off to the plugs) wasn't at top dead center.. think maybe it just got knocked far off track and i need to re-top dead center it or make sure it stops on the first ignition plate.. Does this sound like a possible problem? Or does it just stop where ever inside there? An' if not, how to fix? Thanks faithful 924 board fans!

Yea thats kinda important as thats your timing. Your car was running at some point right?

If so, since then have you pulled your distributor out?

If so, then you didnt put it in at TDC. so you will have to pull it out and redo it.

If not, then your timing is off and you won't have to pull the distributor out to fix it. You just need to loosen the bolt holding it down and turn it to the correct timing. You will need a timing light to do this.

Yes - it, along with the rest of the engine, ends up at a random position every time the engine is shut down. If the distributor is both installed and set correctly, the rotor should point to #1's cap post if you have the cam and crankshaft TDC marks lined-up.

well take it to a mechanic and get the timing adjusted. Its not expensive.

I know the 44's have crank reference sensors, but i didn't think that the 24's did. Its mechanical injection so I can't see as they would need one.

He has a series II 931 with DITC.

in order to get the car to TDC you have to use a socket and ratchet and manually turn over the engine! You will never get it where you want it with the starter!!!!

If you dont have spark then check the connector at the DITC box.
