This is a little off topic for you guys, but I finally got some recent video off a friend's camera for a drag racing and auto-x weekend from last summer. Be sure to click "watch in high quality" at the bottom of the video. Enjoy.

Me beating a friend's '98 LS1 6 spd camaro, and then getting beat by another friend's iroc (he was having a bad night bouncing off the rev limiter in 2nd, then his trans locked up on the way home):

MCIR dragstrip

Beating a civic and an early '00 mustang - ran a 13.92 @100 mph:
13.92 @ 100mph

Auto x vid, on the 2nd run I spun through 2nd. lol:

lol, thanks guys. This one happens to be fueled by a 931 AFM/FD, so it's somewhat on topic.

OK jr, forgive my ignorance here. Are you saying that your 3 series BMW has a Porsche 924 turbo engine in it ???

When I was stationed in England with the US Air Force I helped a friend build a 2002 with a 3 liter/litre BMW 6 from a 5 series. It was some what of a hack job but it was pretty fast.

Thanks, ScottV

The way I read it, he's saying he is using the fuel distributor from a 924 Turbo. The E21 motor used the Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, like the 924/924 Turbo, and many other European cars of the period (but I always thought it had a way cooler induction noise ). I doubt any given part would be a straight swap but it's not at all surprising that it's doable. The E21 and 924 are very similar in mechanical spec.

yeah, just the fuel system. I went from this, stock CIS mounted under the intake manifold:

To this when I fabbed up my turbo system:

The guys here have been very helpful in answering my questions so far. So I want to say thanks to the 924 community.
