You'll be buying wheels twice. CGT has a drastically different offset.

yea mine have been falling off for a while. i just stook the pressure washer to it while i was cleaning my car and it worked like a charm, got all the black stuff off but know i just have to get the remaining surrounding off.

what "compound" did you use? thats probably a stupid question but i dont know much about paint and body work and such.

I used Poorboys SR2.5 scratch andswirl remover with my PC orbital then used Poorboys sealant afterwards..

You might be able to use Meguires scratch x and some elbow grease

Thanks for the tip, however am looking to go with the turbo kit from Flyin Miata, lookin for 230rwhp..
This will have to wait till after the 1st of the year, I had my belt on the 924 go bye bye, and bent some valves. So since the head is coming off anyways I am sending it to Lindsey Racing for the stage II treatment, and am having the intake manifold honed while I am at it...

Thank God I have a wife that understands my car sickness....

It was pretty hot today, so I took the rear right one off my 77 today. Apart from the rivets, everything went smoothly, apart from this discolouration. Can i fix this by polishing with an orbital, or do i have to do something more?

The bottom "line" falls on a seam in the bodywork, and it's hard to tell whether there is actual discolouration there, or whether that's just shadow.

Yes you can polish it out, however I am surprised yours had rivets as most just have adhesive

the stripes themselves were glued on, but it looks to me like there had, somewhere in the cars history, been the thinner stripes that seems to be more common, although on other cars these just seem to be glued on too. The ones that are currently there are about and inch wide and i'm looking forward to getting rid of them.

micheal, your engine bay looks really tidy, am in the process of rebuilding a 924 which i have owned for about five months now, its prety much striped back to a shell now and ready for engine to come out. I noticed the fuel lines on yours are not the original ones, or different to mine anyway which are steel/alloy etc. Do you know if the steel ones can be bought? Where did you get yours from and what is their correct name?

THanks, john

Earlier cars had the flexible fuel lines all the way. My '81 had (before I ripped them out for EFI) the steel ones you mention. They do come up on Ebay form time to time, and I'm sure at least a few guys here must have em kicking around as well. I'd offer you mine but recently sold them.

Cheers,
