Ok, last question for the night. What is the stock boost level on a 81 924 turbo? I have seen mine hit nearly 15psi. That seems incredibly high for a non-intercooled turbo. And what does the stock boost gauge look like? Min eis a VDO unit that read from 30inches of vacuum to 15psi of boost. I just assumed they would read in Bar? Thanks again.

Stock boost is .5 bar ( us) .8bar europe. if you are seeing 1 bar then someone has modified the wastegate or a malfunctioning wastegate. Also chk your overboost switch. And yes .8 bar is max. nonintercooled. Unless you live in finland!
