Here it is its taller and will hold 3 2" white faced
mechanical gauges oil, water & volts the gauges
were 60 bucks and you can put different colored
bulbs in for a different colored gauge face. They
have a big thick aluminum gauge bezel too.
The big box thing is just an arm rest it will hold
a battery cut off switch its 3 3/4 " inches tall Ill
cut it down on the table saw if there's room its gonna
be a hinged lid. The whole console will be blue
the dash a solid black even the vents .. the
door speakers are coming out and Ill put a panel over
the whole area cut to the door panel size I may even just
cut off that whole corner of the door panel & tuck the
vinyl under the panel I make.

If your not careful, your car is going to end up looking like this Joe:
just kidding , i like your ideas. Id love to see a more curvy console, but that shifter makes that nearly impossible without creating some sort of complex relocation linkage.. oh well..
looking forward to seeing the finished product.. _________________ Eric

Impressive looking Joe! Where you a cabinet maker in a former life? Your very good with wood. I could probably do something like that eventually but it would take me 3 tries, 2 weeks and 1 good drunk

I'm so glad to be getting it done today I readied all the inside
for color just about have the console ready for primer
right now
I'm finishing up on a whole taillight cover or valance that runs across the whole back end its a completely removable 3 piece creation .. I'm gonna end up with Led brake lights for sure in back.. maybe ll the lights
will be Led units ..lol walmart has them for for cheap there sealed units
Ill modify the brake light housing and the metal bulb holder .. Got
some butyl rope for sealing the light housing to body so it wont leak
Got a lot to do this weekend from painting all this stuff I built taking out the dash and repairing it I'm sealing the glove box door .. plus have a vent crack to fix then its on to installing the stereo system building the speaker cabinets & tops..installing gauges in center console I still need to finish the hood install hood scoop .. "OH" I'm installing one door solenoid in
the drivers door.. they have lots of trunk kits on eBay that will work.
Also nee to try to cut a round
hole 2 of them in my bumper for concealed round lights like smoothies did get rear rims chrome removed &
]shoot candy coated clear coat on the outside ... Hopefully be about done
the end of the first week of march.
Busy weekend .. for sure going shopping friday for supplies and goodies _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

There's so much detail to get right .. takes awhile
seems silly doing though a guys got to remember that he wants it right
and that's quality. So I went to get the gauges What they had was just a model I had to order.I ended up
paying for them & I can go get them tomorrow at noon. Soo
I promise to have a pic of the console in color with the gauges
and the stereo receiver in place. I have to pull the dash before
I install this console though. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na
