i'm really worried, looks like someone had put the steering wheel on the wrong side

But seriously, I have ever seen black script seat in a brown/tan interior, what are the colour of the back seats/rear cards? At first glance I'd say new seats and door cards

That all looks stock with exception of the colors - most red 924s' came with a pure black interior...very strange color combo.

my question was regarding the colors. i wondered if it rolled off the boat this way or if someone has changed the carpet or door panels/seats

i just ordered black floor mats with the porsche script in a sand color to match the carpet. i hope it ends up looking good...

someday i hope to upgrade the seats to something with more suport and a two-tone look to match.

What color is the dash, the a-pillar trim, headliner, etc.?

If those are all black, I say it was a either a custom ordered carpet / color combo, or the carpet has been replaced. If those are all brown, I say the door cards and seats are replacement items.

Everything is black but the carpet.

Is there any way to figure out if it was ordered this way or if it was changed out by a previous owner?

the carpet is the most worn of all the interior parts. This would lead me to think that it came this way stock, or someone has replaced everything but the carpet.

Really sounds like it was just a custom order color scheme. This wouldn't be the first I've read of a Porsche (previous was a 944) coming with some custom options.

Nope, not stock. Someone changed the seats or changed the carpet.

As an original owner my 924 77 1/2 car marshrot [maroon] came with tan seats and brown rugs, two tone door panels, brown top tan bottom.

My Signal Green 77 924 bought new had light tan colored seats and 2 tone door panels (brown plastic, light tan colored vinyl) and tan carpet. The dash was brown.

Concerning the car in question IMO, the seats and carpet are not original.

thank you all for the responces.

After looking at pictures of modern Porsches on the internet I've decided to continue my plan with carrying the two-tone through the rest of the interior.

Stock or not, I think my end result will look good. It is sort of reliving a plan I had for my 325i may she rest in peace...

Just check your option codes. If you decode them, it'll tell you what color interior you have.
