I removed the heater contol assy (3 slider type) from my 1979 US spec 924. Nothing seemed to be working and all the levers were out of place!

Once I got it out and cleaned up - I got all the levers back where they belong and checked out the cables (all fine but the heater control valve is stuck).

My question is with the middle lever (Heat on - Heat off) - It does not go all the way to the right - It stops about 2/3 of the way over. This is without ANY cable attached - a part of the lever is hitting a piece of plastic near the cable anchor point. I can not see anything that is wrong with the assembly and I seem to remember that all three levers went all the way to the right end of the slots on other cars I have had.

Can anyone check out this and tell me how their's works.

Thanks,
Dan

Is the frame warped? My heat lever hit because the anchor point of one of the cables was severely bent upwards. . .it should be nice & flat.

Mine is the same but mine is because of the valve gets stuck, use a little PB Blaster and all is good again.

Thanks for the replys. You had the answer! Mine is not flat, so that is the problem. Once I push down on it the lever goes all the way to the end.
