Why did you choose Porsche?
My ex-wife took my boat & I needed a new toy.
What's it like to own one?
Sucks when you're handed a bill for $2400 for a TT & clutch replacement, but kicks ass when you've got a guy riding a crotch rocket asking, "what have you done to this car to make it handle so well?"
And you reply, nothing, it's stock.
What's the Porsche community like?
What's the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche???
With a Porsche, the prick is on the inside!!!!
Why should I buy one?

Most of this information has previously been posted, in considerable detail. You should really learn to search before starting a new thread for every thought you have.
It's not that we mind answering questions, I just wanted to point out that nearly all the info you have asked for is already available and would probably only take a few moments to search it out... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

| I don't find the search as effective as asking a straight-forward question an getting a direct answer. |

Welcome
As a kid I always liked porsches but thought i could never own one. Thirty years later I own 2, one is 36 years old (911) one 27(931). I find both cars fantastic. They are very different cars but great in their own ways. Nothing I have ever driven comes close to how these cars feel in their steering. Both cars were not running when I bought them and needed much tlc to bring them back. I find the cars very durable\reliable if your willing to address needs as thy arise (old cars). I have averaged 32 mpg(imperial gallon in Canada 4.54litres}over the past 4 months with my 931 on reg 87 octane unleaded. It is a very comfortable highway car. Some parts are cheap and available but some 931 specific stuff is expensive and hard to find. eg, fuel pump relay.
