I am a member of a VW Fan Website similar to 924.org (vwvortex.com), and somebody just joined using the screen name cf986 with a email address: gtc-motorsports.com. His first post is a: For Sale for a 98 VW Jetta GL for $1250.
Lists his location as Perkasie, PA, between Doylestown, PA and Quakertown, PA.
Is this the elusive Mark? Up to his old tricks in a new venue?
Here's the ad, minus the photos. Is anybody looking for him right now? Here's your chance (I think).
FS 1998 Jetta GL - $1250 o.b.o. (great running car, but needs steering rack) « » 11:53 AM 5-1-2008
This would be a great starter car for a teenager!
For Sale:
1998 VW Jetta GL
5-spd 4-Cyl
104,700 Miles
VIN: 3VWRA81H5WM270268
$1,250 O.B.O.
Located between Doylestown, PA and Quakertown, PA
Reason for selling: bought new car
Msg me or email acrews ( at ) gtc-motorsports ( dot ) com
Recently found that car needs replacement steering rack and lower radiator mount that resulted from brother-in-law hitting a curb hard. Car runs great and I'd use it to commute, but I have other cars. |

Oh no! Now he's transformed into Scouts Canada, Toronto! (http://www.gtc.scouts.ca)... no, wait... now he's a technical college in various locations in Wisconsin! (http://www.gtc.edu)
Seriously, that bloke'd have to be not only a crim but a Grade A Moron to still be using that handle, wouldn't he?
Good lookin' out, though. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

The reason that some confidence men and women get away with their scams for so long is because they have taken the time to perfect their scam, most people would not believe that a crook would continue to use the same scam, and many people who think they are getting a great deal don't think about "if it sounds too good to be true, it must be too good to be true.".
Look at Nigerian Scams. Been in use for years, widely pubicized, and still, new victims everyday by the hour.
Look at all the members on this board who jumped forward to defend the HBM Mafia for so long from other board members who were complaining about them.
Screen name cf986, what do you think that refers to, a Mustang with replacement fenders?
Does anybody know where Mark (and his wife) are for sure, right now? |

No idea of what he's stolen, embezeled, or bought with stolen money lately.
Do you? |
