I figured since i'm going through all of the trouble of doing the serpentine belt conversion, maybe i'll just run a nice supercharger as opposed to a turbo... i've owned, turbos, large displacement v8's (ahhhhh, my 6.0liter gto engine, mmmm, torque)

but, I haven't owned a supercharged engine yet... so how about now..

endwrench, you are using a whipple type, how long is your snout, do you have any good pictures of you placement you could post up?

TIA

Pat

Allright!! You wont be sorry!

These are the only pictures I could find for now. I'll post some more later if needed of the way it looks now. The lower mount looks a little cobbled but I didn't really have a plan before I started on it. Pretty much the way I fab everything now because i get to hung up on the plan instead of what might be easier.

Yes, I'm running a 1.6L Whipple Charger. It is a bit large so it is not actually running in its most efficiant range yet. They are designed to be twisted very fast. I'm running 50% overdrive now and make 10.5lbs of boost at my shift point of 6000rpm. The boost is still building past 11lbs if I hit the rev limiter at 6250rpm. Remember too, mine is a used unit of a Chevy 350 Vortec and had some wear and tear on it. I would not be surprised to see 12-13lbs of boost with a newer unit.

Going to sell all my turbo stuff... keeping the 951 intercooler though.

Just haven't gotten around to ebay yet.
