"Green" come on! when was a Porsche ever painted "green".

The paint sticker under the hood says "petrol Blu" but I dont know what it "should" look like and I am guessing that is close, yes?

I'm not sure, my car was painted long ago (20+years-not sure why) and I don't know for sure what this color SHOULD look like.

I think the COD is probably petrol blue. I have one too. The paint looks different in different light. Anything from a bright blue metallic in bright sunlight to a deep greenish-blue hue like what you see in the pic on cloudy days. It even floureces weird. Parked in a walmart parking lot with the sodium lights, it looks almost black. Strange stuff.

petrol - 'British' word for fuel ('gas') - short for 'petroleum' = 'rock oil'

petrel - a large sea-bird similar to an albatross, with irridescent, deep greenish blue upper plumage.

Spot the difference?

Don't know if Mike924's trying to be funny, but...

The sticker says 'Petrol'? Not 'Petrel'? I've always seen it written as 'Petrol Blue'.

Easy way to tell for sure, I 'spose... German for 'Petrol' is 'Benzine' and German for 'Blue' is 'Blau', so if you can find the name of the colour in German it should be 'Benzine Blau', right?

Also, have a look here.
