Everyone, sorry I have been busy in client meetings today and unable to login. as it is i'm entering this on my cell phone, so pls forgive the punctuation errors, etc.
I have rec'd pm & email from mr. dude. not enough to exonerate him just yet. I will make arrangements to meet mr dude later this week. I want to see a title to the recently acquired 931 with his purported name & address. that will go a long way toward clearing this up in my mind.
I would love for this all to be just a weird strange coincidence (do all garages in waterford look alike?!). I would love nothing more than to be wrong. if I am wrong about mr dude, I will retract all statements, apologize publicly on all 3 boards, eat crow, and I will pay for a 1 yr pca membership for mr dude.
in the meantime thx to everyone who has come to my defense.
stay tuned. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

All good points, should I stop cutting up firewood for the witch burning? Maybe not, its always good to have a witch burning fire ready in case you need it on short notice. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Witch burning fires are sooo 17th century...We need to get with the times... I suggest a Purpose built 924 bumper bar for the front and rear (incase you miss the witch and have to reverse!! ) _________________ 1979 NA

Dude, Ideola has been generous in his offer.
I saw two photos of extremely similar garages. The two garages with the identical kids toys, and they haven't even moved, I mean, come on. lol
Next I saw a photo of a driveway - this isn't disconfirmation evidence of the Mark identity. It is simply a photo of a driveway, albeit a different one.
Bottom line is you have to show who you are, street numbers, all that stuff. Shouldn't be too much of a burden - any reasonable person would see the same similarity all of us see.
Your crow comment does not have the requisite grace to have come from someone who truly has the moral high ground. |

Are you serious? That crow comment was meant to be light hearted. I apologize if you took offense. I don't want the PCA membership and frankly if Ideola offers it I'll refuse it. I don't even care if the guy ever apologizes to me. When this is all said and done I just want a BIG HUGE posting on PelicanParts, Rennlist and here stating I am not this Mark guy.
P.S. I gave Ideola my address at work and at home.
Also, one more thing. Two different pictures of my garage were put side by side like they were being compared. Both of them came from my mr. dude account at pelican. That's very misleading. I'm glad that an actual pic of Mark's garage was posted as well. _________________ 1986 Porsche 944 |

If you look at the picture with the 924 in the foreground- Marks- the brickwork is totally different to the other two pics (with toys) which Mr Dude says is his.
Concrete drive is concrete, fence or not. but change the brickwork?
I'm not convinced he is Mark. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

LOL yeah the brickwork is different Ozzie, and I'm personally not convinced he's Mark either - the thing that's gonna soothe the victims is something that completely disconfirms this guy as Mark - a meeting, DL, that sort of thing.
No offense taken Dude.
If you're exonerated we'll call you Innocent Dude. If you're Mark we'll call you Nutless Dude. |

Mr. Dude....
I cannot say if you are or are not the person in question... however... if you are not, please do not get discouraged...
I recall being subjected to the same type of trial when I first joined and was selling parts off of my 931.
Many people have been seriously burned... giving good people skeptical views... truly a sad state of affairs...
I have always made good on any part sales... Shady characters like Nemesis (et al) destroy the brotherhood that we share... what a shame...
I'm pulling for you to be exhonerated... I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. |
