Just bought my first Porsche, a 924s. I am having intermittant starting problems. I have replaced the ignition switch and DME relay. I have checked the resistance of the speed and reference mark sensors as well as the coil. I am going to hook up a light to verify power to the coil every time the ignition is on. Sometimes it will start and then stop after 5 seconds hot or cold, sometimes not. Then sometimes if I just give it some time it will start. Should I be looking at the fuel system?

The last time that car had that problem, the issue was bad grounds on the engine block underneath the heater valve.

I think it's a possibility that Paul may know something about your car, it's only a guess though.

I believe it's my old 924S that I should have never sold a couple of years ago.

He'll respond in a few minutes now - after he gets the car pulled into the garage, and has the door closed and locked.

I almost did a "Neil" a week or two ago, but then it was suddenly sold to someone who showed up with a trailer and took it to his house.

I'm guessing it was KOTA5682.
