Ok I sense you're not really interested in hearing naywayers and you're ready to start the project. You've said:

lol ok, clock is ticking. Go for it - if these other people are right, we should be hearing 8 screaming pushrod powered pistons by Monday December 24/07 - show us what you got (with datestamps)!

lol I was referring to the 928 when I said that. (with RH parts)

Well I guess if I really want a V8 Porsche I should just get a 928 then.

The 928 is a really great car. Even the early ones - you can pick one up for cheap and they're packing so much more. A buddy of mine has one that I think is only about 220 HP stock (a really early one) and that's enough speed for him or me. The early ones are easier to work on too, handle great, reliable,...but you know, it's like any car...if you beat on it a lot it's not going to last as long. It's an older car too so little $hit is always going to break from time to time.

If I had to do it again I'd might buy American muscle. But then I'd be on a Mustang bulletin board looking for any swap that'd make my car handle like a Porsche and I'd never be satisfied with the handling or the rust.

The guys on this board can fit you up with an '81 or '82 turbo - you then install Megasquirt and you'll whip early 928s and Mustangs with a 4 banger. How cool is that?
