I am trying to get this up nice and early so people have plenty of time to plan. . .

I'd like to invite you all to the 2008 Portland Historic Races at PIR. It is a great time, with great people and beautiful cars. Me and mine typically camp at the track in the "West End." It is a nice open field on the west end of the track, with great views of the difficult T4-T7 complex. The racing in this part of the track should be even better this year than in the past, as they have re-designed T7 as part of our recent repave to create a new passing area.

Last year, we were the only people camped in the West End, and it is a huge area, so it would really be ideal for an informal 924 Corral and Campout. Plenty of room to spread out, grill, party, play frisbee, etc.

Hopefully many of you can attend. I would love to see a dozen 924s lined up out there this year.

Whoa, I saw a tumbleweed drift out of this thread...thought I'd drop a post!

Too bad my dad doesn't live in Salem anymore, or I would consider attending this meet!

well I have said I may be there, though I have no 924 so I would probably be excluded from your little club parking :p

What if I bring the 951, it only has 4 cylinders, but parking with the 924's might make it look fat

If I went I'd likely take the 924 since I know it better and I've gone through the whole car, although it doesn't have air conditioning.

I've been in touch with the event organizers, who have told me that we can have a "924 Corral" AND A PACE LAP, if I have at least 5 cars in attendance.
