Just after I replaced my drivebelt a fuel line decided to break on me. It is the S-shaped hose that goes from the tank to the fuel pump(?). This caused the fuel tank to empty out. I went to a place that cut me a stainless-steel-braided line in the same size, and put that back on.
Before and After
Yesterday I put 2/3 of a gallon in before starting it again and it had a very rough idle and would stall itself if I didn't depress the gas pedal. I decided to put 2 more gallons in before trying it again today, so now it has plenty of fuel in the tank. Unfortunately though the engine will only buzz to life when I start the ignition and then immediately quit on me now, and the gas pedal no longer has any effect.
I'm guessing that air in the lines is what has everything buggered up, but how do I get it out? I'm hoping the answer is keep trying the ignition and let the air get worked out, but I have a feeling that isn't it. Are there any topics on the forum that cover how to get the car working again after draining the fuel system?

just keep cranking it over .. ive run out of fuel countless times in my 924 (fuel gauge awol) and it just takes 3 or 4 tries at starting it.

although in this pick it looks like your new pipe is kinked.. could be the problem.

There *is* a kink in it, that section of hose has to twist like mad and the new hose doesn't flex like the old one did. The kink just doesn't look like it is restrictive though.

I did find another person on the board who's problem sounds exactly like mine: posts by "strolla".
I guess I will try turning the engine some more, if the fuel pumps are damaged/filter is clogged then I guess it wouldn't make it any worse.p

[edit] nevermind, everything's working like before. I finally get to drive my own car again!
