did or does your 2.0 have this.
I found one today at the junk yard in what i think is a motor out of an audi.
because mine doesn't have one. do i need one?
the motor i found is not in a car and it some differences. like the valve cover looks modern and the oil pan is just a steel pan but the head and block is the same. oh and it has a electronic plug on the oil filter attachment. i haven't looked to see if mine has it.
what is your feed back on this mystery. |

Yes, pre-1982 (USA, 1985 RoW) 924s have a 2.0 Audi engine.
Yours will need one, too. If it doesn't have one, put one in. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

| I haven't seen a plastic cover that covers the cam on any of the three 924 engines I've seen, and not on my spare head & block from an Audi either. |

| Sounds like this guy is describing the shielding plate installed on later VW and Audi 1.8L engines to help keep oil splash on the camshaft instead of letting it spray onto the valve cover (and out of the oil filler cap if you open it while the enigne is running). |

Did you compare the mounting holes with the 924's camshaft mounting bolts?
I have not checked myself, but if you do, you might find that the holes are the wrong distance apart |
