Yes.

It is an Audi S4 (AAN) intake manifold. I'n not sure how well it will work on the n.a. engine but I'm using it indeed because it fits perfectly inside the engine bay of the 944 this way.
I've got the 924 turbo (931) clutch housing now that I need to fit the Audi engine to the Porsche transaxle but am struggling with the clutch. The Porsche clutch is set up such that the clutch fork pulls the clutch plate backwards, whereas the Audi clutch is a push action. I'm still working on figuring that one out. |

Will it be a car for on the road? if so, how are you going to handle the things with the RDW (because you're adding one cylinder).
I believe it's quite tricky and expensive to get it right on the papers. _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

I did not manage to do a whole lot to the car during the first quarter of this year but over the past two weeks I've been trying to make up for lost time. I've added quite a few photo's to my website.
The engine went in for it's final install after painting of the engine bay and lining the firewall and right side of the engine bay with a heat reflective layer. The biggest obstacle which was the clutch is now in working order. I've also finished the whole exhaust system that consists of a selfmade header and pipe (no cat.) towards the stock 944 rear muffler. The next project will be to get the wiring and plumbing sorted out, something that I hope to complete before the end of the month. The Audi wiring looks like a mess compared to the BMW engine wiring I have done in the past though (BMW has a completely separated loom for engine electrics), so I hope I can figure it out.
I'll be sure to post again when its running and be the 'someone that has actually pulled this off' as earlier mentioned in this thread _________________ www.944-20v.nl |
