What battery size do you guys use? The mine is 72Ah. And I have a bad charging. May be it's because of tooo big battery. I mean alternator just has not enough power to charge such big battery?.. _________________ Euro 924 '85 016/8 4-wheel disk brakes |

Charging current isn't related to battery capacity.
Poor charging is almost certainly due to bad earth connections. In particular, check the earth strap from the alternator to the engine block. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

In order to have good charging you must have a proper charging current. Charging current for big battery is bigger than one for small battery. So maybe the alternator just can not produce such a big charging current.
Earthing is OK. Regulator is new. Alternator is OK.
What battery do you use? _________________ Euro 924 '85 016/8 4-wheel disk brakes |

Hello,
the biggest/largest battery for the european market was a 63 a/hr battery.Depending which extras (Airco,e-seats,e-mirrors ect.) are ordered.I drive my 1977 modell with a 45 a/hr battery since years and have no problems with it.

Originally I had 55Ah battery. But the guys from battery shop said that I need at least 72Ah. Stupid assholes! Mainly I drive with 3000rpm.
I just wanted to know the size of the battery. So thanx for info!
