I have had the webers on my car since 1982 and not once in 18 years did they go away. I never had to redial the in. Yes, they were played with during a cam change, minor distributor mods, etc. But they never went out of synch. The jets are in sizes and if worn will maybe run oddly. But in 18 years I have never had to buy new ones. I just think most people rewrite what they have heard about other carbs. Maybe English types but no the webers.
