my 924 looks a bit sorry for its self. the red paint has faded very badly on the bonnet and roof but it still turns heads in the local towns.
i really enjoy the back road drive to the workshop now. they are great roads in any car but the 924 can really attack and leave you feeling like there was more to be had on that last bend.
before i had my 924 i used to think of them as the poor mans porsche. but now i have driven one, no man with access to that much driving pleasure is a poor man.
all my friends are into high power jap turbo cars, i have a couple myself. but they are all very impressed with my new car. one girl said "this is the most comfortable car i have ever sat in"
i let my racing instructor friend, who drives a track setup Toyota MR2, have a drive. he said "this could really give my MR2 a run for its money on these back roads. this car is loads of fun"
25 years old and around 35 years since it was designed, the 924 still kicks arse.
that guys needs to borrow my car for a weekend. _________________ 25 years old and still loads of fun.

NY Times.....sheesh....what a rag.
I used to line my bird cage with it but the bird got pissed off and started pooping outside the cage.
I've used it before to make paper mache projects but everything I made always ended up leaning to the left.
Not even good for insulation.....the "R" value (Reality) is too low. The makers of cellulose insulation no longer will accept the Times since they want actual "Newspapers".
Thanks....I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress...... _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

Not to keep this thread alive too long but as for my opinion, the article is not written by anyone who has any actual experience with the car, so is based primarily on (heavily edited) background information. The car has more power than the 912 or 356, and corners a hell of a lot better. It's definitely the most fun I've had with a car in a long time, even though the price is very high in the end. With fuel costs as high as they are, it's a sensible ride that you can do massive burnouts with... _________________ 1977.5 924 "Martini" head / New Old Stock rebuild

I would add that my rebuilt, repainted, refreshed inside and out 924 is a much better car than any rough, 911, 912, 914, or 356 project car. Admittedly not worth as much in the end result, but I didn't spend a small fortune for the rebuild either. I have a excellent daily driver, it looks great, runs great, good on gas, and attracts many compliments from the females, and many envious looks from wanna-be "Ricers" with their perpetual project Hondas. I think that is pretty good..... _________________ I have a 78 n\a currently under restoration. |

I stopped my subscription to Automobile because they bashed the 924. I wrote a nasty letter too. Ahh they don't need my money. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"
