Okay, I've read about a thousand posts on brake upgrades and I'm still confused. I've got an 81' 931 with m471 suspension that I'd like to fit 951 calipers and rotors on all 4 corners. The speedo is not an issue nor is the brake bias or line routing. I've got dual tilton m/c's. So, what parts are needed in order to bolt on 951 calipers and fit new 951 discs? Thanks again for letting me bring this up again!

this is how i achieved it.

87- 951 hubs and spindles
87- front suspension struts (i used sachs units from 951)
lowered uprated springs (pi)
931 top mounts

you could use 86 951 hubs and spindles but WOULD still need to use the later front suspension struts. the only difference between 86 and later setup is how the rotor/disc mounts to the hub.

86 rear trailing arms (924S or 944/51)
86- spring plates
86- rear dampers
86- handbrake cables

hope this helps.....
