I found the car and made the deal to buy the car unseen... I was a bit disapointed in the condition... but over all the car is very solid!

The floors are in very good shape dispite the carpets being wet. Underneath is very good as well and the none of the wheels are siezed, E brake even works.

Now I have to move onto trying to clean the fuel system and get it fired up..get rid of the AC and smog equipment.

Has a 5 speed, but reverse is where first normally is...and it's not the snailshell tranny..I will look up the numbers tomorrow. Any Idea?

How much did they pay you to tow it away?

Ya, pretty sad lookng. What year is it? It has to be a snail if 1st is back and left with reverse above it where you would normally find 1st. Sure it doesn't just have the wrong shift knob?

Geez mine has reverse where first normally is. I thought all the 924's came like that. I thought it was one of those quirky European things
Nice to see you finally got your race car tho

I may just have the wrong shift knob...but it sure seems to make that reverse "clunk" sound when you put into the first position.

It's alright, he's already put the little girl on to it. You should've seen it before she started!

Perfect! And I thought my car was bad... but I could not imagine a better car to transform into a racer. Sure hope you did not pay a dime for that, I can say I'd be too ashamed to ask anything but forgiveness for that one. Good luck!

I've just noticed: although it's got the brown interior (in at least a couple of different shades!), some PO has fitted a black centre console!

I'll take some more pics later today...the car is 100% gutted now!

It is the perfect car to turn into a track car..I don't feel bad at all tearing and pulling out the old moldy wet carpets and not caring if you hurt anything.

I got rid of all the old emissions crap and smog pump, A/c stuff. That A/C pump must weigh 50 lbs alone!

I managed to install a fuel pump from my V8 project car (sat 10 years) and it fired right up. and I flushed the fuel system like discussed in a previous thread. I didn't even use the tank at at as i am using a fuel cell.

I am so glad I flushed the system..the first gas looked like COLA is was so black!

Going to try and get it running today...will update.
