I am just completely pumped tonight.!!

Since I am tight with my local race track owner I had his son take the 924 around for a few laps to get an opinion of how the stock 924 handles compared to some of the sportsman cars he has driven.

In my mind I had an idea of how I expected his discritption should be..........

I asked nicely not to push the engine beyond 4500 rpm's and once the tires started to howl..that was the limit as to how hard to push.

We ran several laps on the D shaped oval..... pushing the car not very hard at all and the "G"'s in the corners were awsome!!!

Now this guy has driven alot of machine son the track..... his discription was.... "I've never driven anything that handles like that"

" We were taking corners on the INSIDE line where most cars at that speed would have drifted to the outside wall...and I wasn't even pushing it"

Man do I ever have the racing bug now!!! I wish the 2 924's I had were junkier so i could have the excuse to tear out the interior and make a race car.... Is 3 porsches too many?

2 nice drivers and a race car could never be considered too many.

Ask me how I know.

Any 931's for sale in your area?

I own (have titles) to 6 and have purchased 2 more that I subsequently sold...so 8 Porsches within two years. Hmmm. My problem is parking and storage!

Five is too many. So I cut down to three the 24 track car, 79 Euro turbo street and the Sunday car the 911 Targa. Life is sweet.
The best part is I have an understanding wife of 42 years. I think my parole is coming up soon.
