Yeah I thought some of ya's had an easier time with the large gauges..
Actually, I can just barely squeeze my hand up-in behind the dash to push out the left and right side gauges, but the lambda processor and relay (mounted below the steering column) are show stoppers for removing the speedo from the center.
So, as long as you don't have the o2 sensor system ("lambda"), you should have access to all three including room to reach and unscrew the speedo cable from behind the dash. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Thanks everybody- I just want to remove the left side one, I haven't done it yet but I'll let you know how it goes, I had thought maybe they all three came out at the same time, but if I can just do the one that will be great.  _________________ Brown 78 924. 4 speed, AC, Sunroof |

Got it all working, all I had to do was push on the gauge from the backside and it popped out, the bulb was actually good but the connector was loose, thanks guys  _________________ Brown 78 924. 4 speed, AC, Sunroof |
