Yeah, I'm one of those guys that really doesn't like aftermarket steering wheels, just not for me. I'll hold out for a 4-spoke. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

The MOMO Prototipo is believed to be correct aftermarket replacement for older Porsches

I take it you need a hub adapter for that one...
No matter what I've tried my steering wheel continues to crack and degrade, the centre rubber section is starting to show its age around the three horn contacts, rather than spending $80 on a new leather cover I'm leaning towards a new steering wheel...

Hubs should not cost more than 60 and the then the cost of the wheel.
Of all the items I changed in the car I am most satisfied with my MOMO wheel.
If anyone needs any of the following I will do my best to get the best price to you. MOMO anything, race suits, Piloti shoes, driving gloves, hand painted helmets custom you design, nomex socks, shorts, tees.
Last year I went to Italy and had a friend make up a pair of nomex jeans. They came out great. I want to market them but my partner is dragging his feet. During the summer in a hot car drivers tend to remove the top of a race suit and drape it around their waist. I thought jeans would look nice and with a nomex shirt you can endure the hear better by removing the shirt. Oh well back to designing the telephone. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

The 2 spoke plastic rabbit wheel is worse than almost any aftermarket wheel. It is too hard and thin. Feels like a tractor wheel or something. Whoever built that momo 944 should be shot. lol But installing a tasteful aftermarket wheel to improve leg room or for better steering feel at speed is perfectly fine as long as it fits the interior color scheme of the car. _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 N/A USA

What colour was it? If you're serious, I might be interested. _________________ 78 924 NA

In my experience, none of the stock steering wheels provide adequate room. I opted for an inexpensive Grant D-style wheel that is 13.5". I don't care about name brand, and the wheel actually looks quite nice. It is very drivable, and makes a world of difference in terms of legroom (not to mention making it easier to climb under the dash to fiddle with fuses, relays, and grounds). _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

ma maaaaaaan !
i'm 1.9m High...not to fat...and i can say that i find the 924 the most confortable car that i've ever sat in. The steering weel (3 spoke) is just perfect...everything seems to be so fit for me. i would never change the steering weel for a f*ckin momo or type-r bullshit...i even hate the fake wood ones....those are for limos...not for 924s.
With so much "tuning" around...i now hate everything thats aftermarket...and i just looooooove the factory design of most cars. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Actually, come to think of it, I really don't care for ANY of Porsche's steering wheels OR any of their wheels. IMO, there are enough tastefully executed aftermarket options for both wheels AND steering wheels without going the ricer route...just cuz it's aftermarket doesn't mean it has to be ricer. But hey, to each his own _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
