Hey everyone..

As promised, here are some pics of my car which just got towed back to my garage today. There is alot of custom work done to the car.. Any opinions and views are welcome, Also ignore that silly 1 windscreen wiper, it was put there when aligning the hood and I do have 2 new ones to install tomorrow.

Will have wider wheels fitted and some hot brakes too.

There is still alot of work to be done on the car, but gives you a general idea.. alot of people wondered what lambo doors will look like on our cars.. so here it is personally i love them!

The pics do the car no justice, it does look 1000x better in person..

Im looking forward to any comments, good or bad..

with the rear hatch and the doors. Custom.

Hehe.. once the lights, other trim and bits and pieces go in,
it should look very different. The quality of the paint job
doesnt show in the pics.. its like a big black mirror.. or something like that lol.. eventually with some nice silver or chrome wheels on, it will look like an even meaner car dont you think?

Big fan of your paintwork Joes924Racer! Everytime i look at your car it always seems to be a different color combo

Not a fan of that hatch but I think this car is gonna look great with some deep dish rims.

What kind of mirrors are you going with?

Ya know, in this case, that hatch doesn't bother me, especially with the lambo doors and even more especially in black. Very very unique, which I think is cool. If you're not gonna have a concourse car, why not make it uniquely your own?!?!

Can't wait to see the final results!

I always thought this hatch would look better in black, and i guess it does. still not sure of it over stock, but hey, with the lambo style doors, and differnet hatch... chuck some decent high polish rims on it and you will have one clean looking unique car. cant wait to see it finished.

ideola, its nice to see a 924 fanatic not just bash the shit out of it cause its not stock.

Looks fantastic!!

I'd love to find a local spray painter who doesn't want to charge more than my cars worth... the mere mention of "Porsche" probably adds 50% to the cost...

I like it. Not a big fan of the hatch, but I really respect the effort put into the car so far.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all the responses

flosho, i am going with cup mirrors, only thing i do need is the mirror bases and the switch though, i have everything else on that end. anyone have any of these 2 parts?

I am very excited to get down and work my ass off on it to finish it off.. but it will probably take a few more months.

Glad that you guys mainly like the lambo doors, was a big risk as I had never seen them fitted on our cars before but heck, it paid off.. *SparkY is officially the first dude to put lambo doors on a 924 haha!

pocketscience, it is very hard to find a spray painter who will not charge you extra because its a porsche.. best thing to do is drive down with something else and get a quote on spraying that, then go back with your porsche, hopefully this way he wont get the chance to quote you alot extra when he sees you.

Cheers Chrenan, respect is always appricated.. it did take alot of work to get the car to this stage and alot of effort! Its all paying off everytime I walk into the garage!

morghen, i should be going down to were the car is in about 2 hours, ill do my best to shoot some more pics, the lighting isnt the best but will see what i can do

Currently going through with a deal for some 5 bolt suspension and brakes. Ill try and strip down the calipers and get them all painted up, so when sitting inside those fat highly polished wheels everything will look spot on!

My biggest problem is deciding which rims will best suit the car!

Should post some more pics this evening, also I will be needing alot of help soon on getting the car running properly, as while it was sitting at the bodyshop its running deteriorated!

that looks great! just like how I wanted my 924 to be.

The rear side panels...how'd you do that? 944 panels covering the stock steel? or cutted the stock stuff out?

Rear hatch is hot too...

Don't want to look too long at your pics, because I've told myself NOT to spend too much money on my car.

is that rear piece 968 style btw?
I like it a lot
I bet you've spent well on the bodykit

Nice. Not a fan of the hatch, either. But I like the lambo doors and shaved door handles. Thought about that beforem now I know what it looks like. What kind of wheels are you thinking about?

Nyeece.
I think the hatch works design-wise in black as well. In lighter colors they
look out of place - like just a big added-on afterthought lump.

The running problem may clear up on its' own with some exercise and
fuel injection cleaner. Might as well check the dist cap and rotor area for
moisture and oxidation too. I had a similar problem after I finished my
repaint this past fall. I did some messing with the AAV, but now suspect
that wasn't necessary - now my warm-up fast idle is too fast and for too
long, so I now think the post-paint running problem would have cleared
on its' own with just the fuel system cleaner and getting back into regular
use. Rasta monsta had a similar problem recently which apparently
cleared up with both use and a cleaning of the air metering plate area.
