How hard would it be to switch from a 4 speed to an auto?

I know you would need new axle stubs, they are different for the auto cars. Other than that I am not sure, I think the torque tube is the same for the audi manual box and the auto box.

Is there a medical reason you need an auto?

I think the tube would work but what about the clutch?

The clutch gets replaced by a large ~$700 rubber disc.

Wow, $700 to make a 924 slower. Unless you have a medical reason for an automatic, it would be quicker and cheaper to learn to drive stick. Or, buy an automatic 924, they are even less desireable than the standard version so you can probably buy the whole car for $700.

Or, it could be used as an anchor, now it's in the bed of my truck for winter traction. I just had a thought, for what it would cost overall I just found another 4 speed for less.
