new to the board, just purchased an 1981 924 turbo...so far have replaced all suspension parts, rebuilt the turbo/tranny, and new original paint. The inside upholstery has been restored. I have come across a problem that has riddled me so far...Car runs fine when engine is cold but after approx 10-15 minutes of running, if the gas is depressed for acceleration, engine shuts off. The only way to keep the car running is to depress the gas pedal just slightly and only after that the car runs at about 5mph. If the gas pedal is depressed anymore, a burst comes out of the tailpipe and engine begins to stutter and eventually shuts off... I have replaced the spark plugs, cleaned out the fuel tank, replaced the fuel pump, switched out the relays...any help is appreciated...

try unplugging and replugging in the DITC plug.

As well have you replaced the WUR and set the air fuel mix with a gas analizer and the O2 sensor disconnected?

My guess is that it's th warm up regulator (control pressure regulator). something in there is probably dirty or gummed up and causing you to have the wrong control pressure when the car is warmed up. I took mine apart and cleaned it up on my 924. Not too difficult. The 931 is affected by boost as well, it may be more difficult to rebuilt, but you might as well give it a shot before replacing it. Do you have an air fuel meter? That would help in figuring out what's going on when you have the problem.
