Well Lizard it has been very good to me. The only thing it has needed in the 8k miles I have put on it since brand new was a new sidestand. They don't mention in the manual not to sit on it when parked. First stupid motorcycle I have ever had that I couldn't sit on when parked. But no damage was done and Buell picked up the tab - Thanks to a two year warranty!
Plus it has been worked over a little now yielding 103HP at the wheel - keeping it on two wheels is an adventure!

I like the look of the buells but there engines (older models) are not the best, and then you look at the history and how many issues people have had I chose not to even consider it,
Having a bike that you cant sit on the kickstand is NOT very promising, that makes me abit leary as to the rest of the build quality,
and 356 speedster, I love the 928, however I have heard some interesting stories about fitting the type of rims you now have on the car and that they require some interesting spacers. _________________ 3 928s, |

Yeah Lizard I hear you regarding the old Buells - things have changed a bit since the new ones came out back in 2001 now that HD is in the mix as part owners. They put alot of money into R&D. I think people will be surprised at reliabilty going forward. But then there's the damn sidestand -

The 1971 BMW 2002 project.
This car was totaled (front and rear collision) and had been used as a parts car for another 2002
and I got this crazy idea in my head to restore it. hahaha.
I know. I'm crazy!
You can see pictures of the progression of the project from the beginning here:
