Great job!
When I redid my dash, I didnt smooth it with filling foam like you did - a mistake by me.
Im inspired and I might redo my center console in the same way, but I think I would use MDF with thin walls (5mm ~1/4 inch) and glass fibre. Gonna do some Photoshopping and see what might come out...hehe.
Good Luck with your project! _________________ Euro ´81 924 - Interior being restored |

as an alternative to the fleceing have any of you guys seen bendy mdf you can get it in b and q sotres in the uk in 4ft by 2ft sheets or make it yourself by getting a sheet of 5-6mm mdf and using a circular saw cut 2-3 mm slits in the sheet all the way across the width of the sheet about 6-8mm apart so it looks like a sheet of lined paper hey presto it bends 2 layers of that would be perfect for the bullet enclosures with plenty of pva i say 2 as if they are used as sealed rather than reflex (vented) enclosures there will be alot of pressure inside the box also maybe add a brace in the center if you are gonna be using them real hard some of the compitition spl 10 inch woofers can produce upto 20 tonnes pressure inside a sealed box also a router on a jig can be used t cut really accurate circles in mdf rather than a jigsaw thus creating a god seal fra sealed enclosure
that said i do find the fleace idea interesting and think i might give the dash a go and add it to the long list of bits i have to do |

Thin MDF (5mm) bends real easy, just wet it a little and put pressure on it. When it dries it retains its shape.
Slow process but it can be done. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA
