Well, my 944 has a wingless 924 hatch on it, my wife's 924 has a 931 hatch on it and lots of 951 guys like to put the 968 hatches on their cars. I'd say it'll fit. _________________ '84 944 - kid blew motor

Well, Here Is Where I'm Perplexed.
I Know That Plenty Of People Mount The 968 Style Wing Onto Their Cars. I'm Just Curious If The Latching Pins And Hinges Are Exactly The Same. A Friend Of Mine Shattered The Hatch On His 968 And The Insurance Company Gave Him A Hard Time About Covering It ($5,500.00 New Only Available Through Porsche). They Are Going To Cover It But It's Three Weeks Away And He Wants To Attend A D/E Event Next Weekend. I'm Willing To Lend Him The Hatch From My 944 But Need To Be Sure It Will Bolt On Before He Makes The Trip Over.

I am fairly certain (99.9%) the mounting points (hinges) and locking pins are the same exact thing from the 924 through the 968. The only real difference is the hatch frame which has the provisions for the bridge spoiler. That .01% comes from having no real experience with early 924's. I did however help a friend swap a 968 hatch onto an early '85 944 and fitment was perfect. This seems to be more like your case. So yes, it will fit.
Is your 931 a very light brown, almost a pewter kinda metallic color? do you happen to work at TKX? If so,I always admire your car whenever im there for wheel alignments .
