Maybe he meant "spacious"....as in roomy. The 924's are pretty roomy....well compared to a Yugo.

As to the original question, make sure you see the receipts. Otherwise, you'll have to assume the belts need changing. You can find all kinds of info on this board about how much it costs and the need to have it done on a timely basis. Get armed with the knowledge and you should be able to get the price down to a couple thousand. Unless the seller is just waiting for the right sucker to come along. Don't be the right sucker.

Can you take it somewhere to have a ppi done? (Pre-purchase inspection) Or maybe someone close to you that's familiar with the 924S can help you out.

thanks for the replies guys. next time i look for one, im definitely going to use what you guys have told me and from what ive read. but i wont be getting this one. its not the car, its the exwife, just got my papers in the mail from our divorce. at this point in time, ive got no extra money..
