Ok I looked in the owner's manual but all it said was "the tool kit contains tools needed for minor roadside repairs, adjustments and wheel changing"
and was also good enough to tell me "we recommend you turn off the engine when filling the tank" 
but what I want to know is what is this thing for? I guess it must be a spark plug hand wrench. (which actually would have come in handy a few months ago, haha! I guess I should have filled up my spare tire before today.)

yes it is a spark plug socket.

Should also be a matching allen wrench in there to crank on it. I love mine, use it all the time...

thanks- I'm not sure if I saw that I may have to pull the carpet up and look around again- or maybe head to sears and pick one up that fits.
