Howdy there.
My '78 924 has electric windows. The passenger side window had an issue in that it would only roll up from the drivers side switch; the down button worked on both sides, and the drivers window worked fine.
I did some investigating, and if things work like I think they should, there is a red wire with a white stripe in the passenger door that should have +12, but seems to be disconnected. In trying to see if I could find this wire on the back of the fuse panel, I think I broke something, because after taking a peek, none of the windows work any more.
I had a nagging feeling that I might have disconnected a black wire with a yellow stripe off the back of the panel, however I have no clue where it belongs. It appears as though the PO broke off the relay socket (and there is no sign of the relay) for the A/C, so there's a few wires behind the panel that aren't connected to anything.
I can't seem to find any mention of power windows in my Hayne's manual.
Any tips? _________________ 78 924 NA

the Haynes manual does have the wiring diagrams for the electric windows and that is where you will need to start _________________ 3 928s, |

Aah, yes, you are right of course. I had looked through the '77.5 - '78 diagrams several times with nary a hint of this option, only now to find it in a completely different section.
This also confirms my suspicion that the problem likely lies in the drivers side passenger window switch, rather than in the passenger side where I started looking.
And, this also explains that black with yellow stripe wire; I'll stick that onto G3 (I suspected it came from the G region) and see if that works!
Thanks for getting me to RTFM again; I figured it should be in there, I just couldn't find it myself the first time. _________________ 78 924 NA
