Ok 2 quick ones here ...

First will 944 rear seats fit identically to 924's?

Also does the rear spoiler do anything aero-dynamically? or is it a rubber for show thing? The line of the car just seems nicer without it.

Steve

Rear seats will go right in and, depending on the year of your car, you should have seat belt anchors already in place in the tub of the car.

Don't know about the spoiler. But unlike GM, Porsche seldom hangs stuff on the body that doesn't have a purpose.

the 924 spoiler is engineered for the 924 body
just as 944 spoiler is engineered for the 944 body

although most probably wouldn't notice the handling difference there definitely is specific functional differences for each car

its a toss up here, as far as preference. some prefer the bigger 944 spoiler on the 924 even though (technically) it is counter-efficient.

I, personally, prefer the 924 spoiler on the 924, to me it "looks" right. the 944 spoiler makes the 924 look like its got and onion booty, imo.

edit: don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a good onion booty, I just prefer mine on women.

Hi Steve.

The seats fit without any trouble, the rear spoiler will lower the CW value from 0,31 to o,30. I think itīs better to live without it....Nobbi

Ps: sorry,my english isnīt to good.

The guys are right about the seats. They'll swap right in. You may have to adjust the striker for the latch mechanism on the folding seatback, as not all cars were exactly the same width.

The rear spoiler actually does affect handling. As my 944 approaches the 90- to 100-mph mark it actually crouches down closer to the road. You will notice a difference if you remove/install one and go fast enough. I also agree with these guys - the 924 spoiler looks good on the 924, the 944 one should stay on the 944s.

Personaly opinion.. 944 spoiler looks better than the 924 spoiler regardless of which model its on(924/944). Even if it hurts the performance, or aerodynamics, its worth it with the improved look.

I think the adjustable 968 wing looks even better, especially with cgt flares.

Well I like speeding... I know it's a bad thing to say but we are thankfully endowed with empty roads where I stay and I find my 924 sitting higher up in the speed amount quite a bit, so I think I might be keeping the spoiler. However F**k the 944 spoiler. It looks kinda gay no matter how much aerodynamic value it adds same with the slotted bodykit bits or the bit americans have to replace their number(licence) plates. Might as well wear a porsche jacket and wear a porsche hat all the time.

Anyway thats my wee rant, but at least I know I can replace my back seats now as 944 ones that match are much easier to find...

However I will say now anyone in the UK with a pasha interior that they wish to unload I would be very tempted. Just for the dizzying effect it gives you as you enter the car ...

Oh and also sorted my head an ran it in now... so short of a rattling exhaust mount it is happy once more.

The rear seat backs of a 944 have a different latch assembly than early 924s and require that you also install a different pin in the side panels.

Sorry man spoilers just aint my thing ... the only ones I like are the stupid whale tails on 911's as you know that without them 700+ bhp of turbo would just set tyres on fire and nothing else.

However those wheels are pretty damn nice. I have 8 spokes and they seem a little bit puny in comparison. Maybe do the 5 stud conversion and buy my friends lightweight Speedlines off his Celica Carlos Saintz (same as a porsche 5 stud for offset etc..)
