If its glycol based coolant then it will likely smell kind of sweet

Are you losing coolant?

Does the car overheat?

Was it ever overheated?

How old is the gasoline?

Vacuum leaks?

Does the smoke go away when the motor is revved up?

Does it go away when the engine warms up?

Good luck,
Stefan

White smoke is water reaching the exhaust manifold. Probably have condensation in the gas tank if the car has been sitting for a while. Try STP super gas treatment - it will disolve the water in the gas & the smoke should go away. God luck.

do a compression test, sounds like high water/gas mix, or blown head gasket.

Well my dad came over and fixed it, he just had to adjust the idle on it and it seemed to work I was doing the wrong screw, and we both took turns driving it around the block Finally I know it works at least, no smoke either after that, guess it was just from sittin..

Condensation will build up in the pipe and steam will come out for a while until it all boils off.
If after that you have nothing then its probably ok.
My daughters car is the same while I'm working on it and start it every 2 weeks or so. (offered her a 924 but said no, not enough room for her mates.)
