I checked on the cost first..you know that is a
very well built manifold its too costly for me
I get 250 Pound Sterling (GBP) converted to
USD is like 495.00 I'm gonna make one here
in Oregon. Though If you cant find out the
jets size by asking Ill call them. I'm
hoping they can give me a good guesstimate.
hm-mm what s the gas mileage like ? I get with
stock fuel injection about 24 miles per US gal. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Well i bought a set of 20001 yzf Yamaha 1000 carbs
and so far have found the air cleaner 'yea' seems a
ITGF
filter assembly for Weber triple 46 and 40s from
the 911 can be had 'though I'm wondering' if
www.pegasusautoracing.com.
will sell only one I'm thinking Ill use a piece
or 2 of say 18 gauge 6.5" steel stud I
could also go with a lighter gauge 18s
pretty a heavy gauge & form it
around a filter that costs 30 bucks.
I'm just hoping
the carbs will work & its easy enough
to do... Daveo whats the gas mileage
gonna drop to... I love the cis though
a lot... suppose with what I'm gonna
do it be pretty awesome again. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

hi joe
still working on your list & piks of the setup, your gas mileage is going to drop a lot, but this depends on the other head work & things you do to the engine, and how hard you drive it.
just got of the phone to bogg brothers, the jet size is 1.85mil, Yamaha do not do a biger jet for the carbs so you need to have the one in them driled to the 1.85, steve said that is the only mod you need to do to the carbs.
Badeu things r looking good.

yea things are lookin good thats good
things here are exciting II put 88 miles a day
more even this last week. thats . .. 440 this week
all freeway miles too. So I guess I better keep
the fuel dizzy wet and a set of good injectors
around for the quicke exchange from carbs
back to cis if the milage is gonna be that bad.
got a 75 toyota reuck with the 20R motor I
could put a header exhaust on it & run off road
14 inch tires yea sure itll end up painted blue
after lil body work is done itll sit in primer though
till october now its still some stock pea green color. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

sorry boys been flat out with things Red 24 with bike carbs on had a rather lardge oil fire on friday, she split a hose leeding to the oil cooler & up she went i was driving at the time lots of black smoke filled the car i have never stoped so fast in my life pop the hud to be met with 2 to 3 feet of flame coming from exaust manifold. the manifold is wraped so had taken lots of oil. so always carry a fire extingwisher with you & a clean per of under pants.
so lots to sort out wiring & melted bits to look into, still on a happy note im testing the white 24 race car on friday at brands hatch .
OKY
looks good, IF YOU LOOK BACK TO PAGE 2 of this post you will see in the piks posted on the manifold inlet 4, the T pipe for the brake servo. for the ignition advance i used one of the old injector holes on No 1, i see you r still using the origonal injection setup so you will have to look at adding a pipe into one of your inlets.
what other work did you do on the engine & head?
talk soon

| ^ you really need to angle those carbs down so they are level. Otherwise funny things are probably happening with your float bowl height and having the float bowl jets at different fuel levels. Could be a source of your high rpm problem. |

hi QKY, your carbs are well installed.
i have finally achieved to relink all carbs on my setup ( cause of additional space added to naturally fit 924's head, they were no more link between each other ), my new problem is that my "bad" auto dealer as sold me a hose of 38 mm and i need a 40 mm, so i can't continue today and my car will take time again before running...
so sad ... |

No, i'm removed k-jetronic.
Pictures are taken in friends workshop, in time of assembling!
One question, how much fuel your carbs spend on 100km or 100miles?

I like the sound of carbs on 4000-5000rpm and do't want to lose it!
So, I found interesting text (with formulas and.... ) about bikes air box and think to build one!
If you'r interested in it, I can paste it!
