I installed a brass needle valve off ebay and it seemed to work good for about 3 days. This week however, I went out for a cruise and pushed my car a bit harder than normal and now my car is overboosting badly... meaning I changed nothing on the boost controller however its hitting 15+psi if I hammer on it(obviously I don't hammer on it now since 15-20 psi is not safe)

I spliced it in to the wastegate line and used some rubber fuel hose as the extending piece.

So far to remedy this I have:
Switched the boost controller to another (same style) boost controller.
Switched the hose that I used.

Could it be possible that the rubber fuel hose is expanding? and delaying the signal to the WG even more? The only other thing I could see that is happing is one of the hoses isn't clamped to the boost controller any more because I stripped the clamp, but all other connections are clamped.

I did return it to stock, with just a splice piece in and it boosted to 7psi like it should stock.

Here's a pic of the setup I'll get a better one shortly..

I think that your used fuellines are expanding which fool the controller.

That may be.

I've switched to a stiffer rubber hose, that is also shorter.. I think I got it working now. Its set to 8psi or so and working fine now and I ran it for 2 good hours on friday night and nothing went wrong..
