Easy there! I'm not a geriatric yet! I finished high school in '93!

I didn't mean it, really!

I just guessed your age by the picture. LOL. I thought you're around 30 so I guess
I was a little off, but most 924s and 944s were still pretty new. But whatever.

My parents don't pay for anything other than my food and a room, and the only
way I'm able to pay for the car is because I work 25 hours a week and I work at
an Auto parts store and I do all the work myself, so it's not too bad.

No worries, mate. I knew you were kidding. As it happens, I am 30! Wow, 13 years since finishing high school... didn't that just fly by!

Still, no-one at my school could afford a Porsche. Even an old beater...

So what was your first car then? A Holden, maybe?

Nope, not a Holden. A '77 BMW 320i. I bought it the year after I finished high school.

Beautiful little car. Same power (actually, a tad more, IIRC) as an NA 924 and roughly the same weight. Could seat four adults in relative comfort and had a proper trunk.

Went like a cut snake! Handled well, too.

I still love 'em. I might buy another one day...
